Radio-ga-ga-gone to Kings Heath

South Birmingham Radio has relocated to The Moseley Lions Headquarters on Alcester Road South in Kings Heath
On Sunday 1st July South Birmingham Radio started broadcasting from it’s new home.
Lions Club International offered the struggling station an olive branch when their previous location became unviable.
The premises consists of a self-contained two-storey building as an extension to the existing Lions Club building. SBR’s new studio is much bigger and they have more flexibility on the aesthetics of the space than their previous offices.
SBR are currently looking for a way to enable disabled access in the building, this being the only negative that could be found.
South Birmingham Radio released this statement:
We are eternally grateful to Lions Club International for this great space. It enables us to continue broadcasting to South Birmingham and wider areas.
Not only does it enable us to continue our current efforts but we believe this new location will expand our efforts and presence in the local community.
South Birmingham Radio is a a group of volunteers whom give up their time to give the local community a voice and entertainment.
We are hoping to do a relaunch party very soon where the public will be invited to come and enjoy some live music, food, drink and have a tour of our new studio.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer a massive thank you to Rubery. Rubery is very much in all of our hearts and we had established ourselves in the local community extremely well. We will continue our efforts in Rubery and hope to do the same in Kings Heath.
There are a lot of exciting things coming from South Birmingham Radio and we can’t wait for everybody to experience them. Stay tuned…
South Birmingham Radio will shortly be launching brand new sponsorship opportunities which will ensure the longevity of the station and give local businesses a platform to air their services.
